Devils Tower EAA Chapter 1453
The Devils Tower EAA Chapter will host a fly-in breakfast for local pilots as well as all visitors from 6:00 am to 8:00 am. Invitations have been extended to all pilots for the surronding 250 nautical miles.
The chapter will begin giving Young Eagle rides to young people between the ages of 8 and 17 with parental consent. Consent forms will be available at the event.
These airplane rides are given at no charge to the young people, all the costs are paid by the pilots themselves. The Young Eagles Program, created in 1992 to interest young people in aviation, has flown over 1.1 million young people in more than 90 countries. Pilots at the event will also be teaching the kids about basic airplane knowledge so they can discover how airplanes work and how pilots ensure saftey is the primary concern before and during every flight. Following the flight, each young person, will receive a certificate making them as an official Young Eagle. Their name will then be entered into the "World's Largest Logbook" which is on permanent display at the EAA Air Adventure Museum in Oshkosh, WI.
