What's a Schortenzummer ? This aircraft was built by Warren, his father Al, and the crew at Pietsch Aircraft and was completed in the spring of 1995. It is constructed of a welded tube and fabric fuselage with a carbon fiber and composite wing built by Zivko Aeronautics. It has a 250 hp Lycoming engine. This homebuilt was specifically designed for aerobatics. Warren's performance in this aircraft is fast paced and high energy. This aircraft will exceed roll rates of 360 degrees per second, and perform gyroscopic maneuvers causing the aircraft to tumble in midair with speeds ranging from zero to 240 mph!
